Choosing wheel chocks for trailers
3 min read · ADR Gear

Trailer wheels come in many sizes, so a chock that fits one may not fit another. It helps to know what you are choosing between.
Here is how to decide.
Look at the tire
Check the height of the tire and how much room you have beside it.
A chock that is much smaller than the tire may not seat well.
Two sizes
The Rubber Wheel Chock Pair comes in medium, about 8 x 6 x 4 in, and large, about 10 x 8 x 6 in.
Both are molded rubber with a rope handle.
When in doubt
If your tire is between sizes, the larger chock is usually the easier choice.
Sizes are not exchanged, so check before you order.
Keep them handy
Store the pair where you can reach them, such as a trailer box or a hook. See our vehicle and trailer gear.

Measuring the tire
Look up your tire size on the side of the tire, or in the manual. Compare it with the chock sizes on the page. Medium is about 8 x 6 x 4 in and large is about 10 x 8 x 6 in. The page also says to check that the size suits your tires.
Write down the size on a note in your phone and the numbers will be ready when you shop. The pair is $39, and shipping is free over $75, so add a Hi-Vis Vest Two Pack to reach it. Sizes are not exchanged, so measure first.
