A seasonal check of your vehicle gear
3 min read · ADR Gear

Gear in a vehicle sits for months. A quick check twice a year keeps it ready.
Here is a ten minute routine.
Lights
Recharge the flashlight and check that it turns on. Keep the charging port dry.
The Rechargeable LED Work Flashlight has a USB cable.
Vests and triangles
Open the vest and look at the reflective strips. Wipe the triangle panels with a soft cloth.
The Reflective Warning Triangle Set is foldable.
Pads and bags
Check that the spill kit zip works and restock any used pads.
See the Oil and Fuel Spill Kit Bag.
Write it down
Set a reminder for spring and autumn.
This gear does not replace any equipment, training or paperwork your work or local rules require.
A simple checklist to copy
Make a card and keep it in the bag. Line one: flashlight charged. Line two: vest clean and strap works. Line three: triangles folded and within reach. Line four: spill kit zip works and pads restocked. Line five: date of the next check.
If something needs replacing, order early. The light is from $21, the vest pack is $19 and the bundle is $79. Orders of $75 or more ship free. See our driver gear for the range.
